Ford turns to CADfix for interoperability solutions
FEGS, the leading provider of product data interoperability solutions, has been commissioned by Ford Motor Company to supply multiple seats of CADfix, the CAD model healing and repair software tool. The deal was brokered by ITI, FEGS's US parent company.
This major CADfix contract, which encompasses with technical support, which will be fundamental in migrating Ford's legacy PDGS data into I-DEAS Master Series. CADfix will also be used to improve CAD model interoperability between departments and with suppliers.
CADfix provides Ford with the capabilities necessary to migrate legacy wireframe and surface data into a solids environment. "We are excited to have leading organisations such as Ford commit to our interoperability tools and services. We take pride in our reputation and further solidify our commitment to maintain a leadership role in providing proven solutions to meet the interoperability challenges of the new century."
John Meaney, sales and marketing director of Cambridge-based FEGS, says: "We are delighted that CADfix has been chosen as Ford's interoperability tool which proves yet again the important place CADfix holds in the data exchange marketplace. I am fully confident that this deal heralds a strong, long-term working partnership with Ford."
